Cambodia plans $100 million for Angkor auto plant

The Cambodia Herald-13-08-2013: Cambodia’s Heng Development Co., Ltd is planning to invest $100 million to build an auto factory in Cambodia with the cooperation of Japan’s Hitachi Ltd.

The factory will be built on 20 hectares of land and will employ 300 people in the first phase of production for the Angkor-brand auto company.

"We have everything in place for this project to take off," Sieng Chanheng, Heng Development director general said. "The bank is also ready to provide us the loan for our investment."

“We're committed to the achievement of this project," she added.
